oh its a friday ..... me at work now writing from my firms warehouse where i have been posted since yesterday. We are a group that has three great stores in Kolktata. There is going to be added perhaps another jewel in our crown. A new store our biggest venture which is a new store at Elgin Road. For the arrangements required for that store our Warehouse incharge MR. RAJKUMAR SINGHANIA has been out since yesterday. Me just filling in his role. Its education for me too , to sit here since morning 11 to 8:30 evening.
Today all i did was organised the filing work and spent time creating an account here.
All i did yesterday and today was comparing the sale figures for 45 days which is the best in the year. To my dissappointment bot stores have degrown by 11%.
The reasons are many. Firstly, parking facilities in this market area is very bad. In fact, this is the main reason management consultants feel the sales are down . The next reason we try to console ourselves is by pointing out at the growing competetion. New stores and mall are coming day by day. But i feel this may not be so as a consumers disposable income is always growing. organised retail is accounting for only 3 % of the total potential. Then why are the sales falling???
whatever the reason may be i know we are gonna turn aroung this winters.
